Join us Sunday, October 9th at 6:00pm for “The Return of the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party”!

We will have a chili/gumbo cook off as we pack shoeboxes with suggested gifts for Operation Christmas Child.

How many boxes would like to see packed?
Help us set the goal. Each shoebox is an opportunity for children around the world to learn about Jesus, walk through 12 weeks of discipleship training, and ultimately, have a child receive Christ because of your gift.

Here is a link to a list of suggested items to purchase for children in several age groups. You can place any purchased donations in the RED container in the church office lobby for the packing party, or we will be happy to shop for you if you choose to donate monetarily.

If you are making monetary donations, visit our Give page here. Please select the Operation Christmas Child Fund from the Fund drop down menu. You may also give by mail or through the offering during a worship service. Check memo: OCC Packing Party 2022

Thank you for your financial support and participation, from Liberty Baptist Church and our Operation Christmas Child team!

If you are interested in packing a shoebox at home for Operation Christmas Child, here are some instructions and helpful links!

1. Find a shoebox!
You can use a standard size shoebox that you already have at home. If you wish to wrap your shoebox, make sure you wrap the lid and the box separately! If you need a shoebox, Liberty has them available for pick up, usually beginning around October.

2. Purchase a label for your box!
Click here to see which label best fits your needs. The $10 cost of the label pays for the shipping of the box. If you choose not to purchase a label using the link, please be sure to include a check in the amount of $10 per shoebox made payable to Samaritan’s Purse when you drop off your shoebox at a drop off location.

3. Fill your box with gifts!
You can use this list of suggested gifts for each age group to purchase items to fill your box! Don’t forget to include a personal not from your family, along with a photo! This personal touch can be a child’s favorite part of their gift!

4. Pray over your box with your family!
Most importantly, “pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17) for the child who will receive your shoebox gift. Pray for the child’s family to also be receptive to the Good News of Jesus Christ, the pastor of the church who delivers your shoebox gift, and their community to be transformed by the Gospel.

5. Drop off your shoebox!
If you live in or near the Flowood area, Liberty Baptist Church is a quick and convenient drop off location for your Operation Christmas Child shoebox! Type in our address listed below into your favorite GPS device, or find a better drop off location for your needs here.
